Target usually has good cost and selection. Sack N Save and KTA are Hawaiʻi based grocery stores that have fun and unique items however the cost for basic goods is higher. Matsuyama Food Mart (5 min mauka) and Matsuyama Food and Fuel (8 min makai) are local mini marts.
Laundry
You are welcome to use the washer and dryer in the carport. Press “Power”, “My Cycle”, and “Start/Pause”. Beach towels can be hung on the rack outside the ohana if it is sunny but please use dryer if it is cloudy.
Kaylee
Our doggo is adorable and she knows it! We want to reinforce when she has good manners though so please ignore her when she's exuberant. You are welcome to pet her when she is calm.
Bugs & Geckos
Let us know if you see ants, centipedes, or geckos in the ohana. All opened food items must be stored in the refrigerator (this includes dry goods like cereals, crackers, and chips).
Food Waste
Place all food waste in the container in the fridge to minimize attracting bugs inside.
Coffee Grounds Waste
Please store used coffee grounds in the container under the sink or dump directly on the compost pile in the northwest corner of the ohana yard. Do not put coffee grounds down the sink drain.
Recycling
Please place rinsed HI-5 items only in the box on the kitchen counter. Most drink containers (cans/plastic/glass) are HI-5, however, most larger plastic/glass containers are not.
Trash
Let us know when trash is full.
